2026-2027 Cross-Ice Mites Registration
Open to players born in 2018 and after. All players will be evaluated and assigned to a Junior Railers team that participates in the Mite Level Cross-Ice North Star Youth Hockey League. Team rosters are selected based on age and overall skill to ensure competitive play at the appropriate level.
The program is a FULL SEASON program and runs from late August to late March
Player Evaluations
Player evaluations will take place on March 18th & 19th at Worcester Ice Center
- 2020 & younger birth years: 5:10 - 6:10 PM
- 2018 & 2019 Birth Year Players: 6:10 - 7:10 PM
# of teams will be determined by total enrollment
Northstar Hockey League
All games are played at NorthStar Ice Sports in Westboro MA. Games for the NSYHL are played 4 vs 4 in a Half Ice format with Intermediate sized nets for goalies and Blue pucks. The league holds two parity round adjustments (October & November) to determine appropriate team placement to ensure competitive balance within each age division.
Practices
Junior Railers Mite players are typically on the ice 3 times per week. In addition to league games, teams will practice 2 times per week at Worcester Ice Center, or FMC Rinks.
*Some weeks may be different due to holidays and ice conflicts.
Games
Junior Railers Mite teams will play approximately 25 NSYHL regular season games and playoffs. Games are on Saturday or Sunday and some Monday school holidays.
Junior Railers teams will also participate in fun in-season events like the Railers Mite Dev Jamboree at the DCU Center and WIC Mite Full Ice Invitational Tourney included in tuition.
Tuition / Payment Plan
- Paid in Full Discounted Tuition: $1,850
- Installment Payment Plan: A deposit of $200 is due upon accepting a position on a team, and (7) monthly payments of $250 will be charged to the payment method on file beginning on August 1, 2026, with the final payment due on February 1, 2027. Total of payments - $1,950
Uniforms
Junior Railers Cross-Ice Mite players players are required to purchase 1 reversible game jersey, 1 pair of blue socks and 1 pair of gray socks.
Please consult your coach prior to ordering to confirm jersey #.
Players may also keep their jersey from LTP and have their name put on the back for a small fee.
