
2023-2024 Worcester Rail Dawgs 2015 Elite coaches Bobby Butler and Lynn Loyns
The Junior Railers are proud to announce that Bobby Butler and Lynn Loyns will coach the Worcester Rail Dawgs 2015 Elite team for the 2023-2024 season.
Coach Butler is also the Director of hockey operations for the Junior Railers and captain of the Worcester Railers Hockey Club. After a 4 year career at UNH including being named a Hobey Baker finalist, he went on to play in 130 NHL games for Ottawa, Florida, New Jersey and Nashville; the AHL, Europe and for team USA in the 2018 Olympics. He lives in Marlboro with his wife Lisa, daughter Vivian and sons Beckham and Vincent who will join his dad on the team.
Coach Loyns is from Naicam Saskatchewan and has been with the Junior Railers for 6 years and coaches the 2012 and 2015 Elite teams. His playing career included 4 years with the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL where he was a 2X team leading scorer and was named to the “Top 35 Chiefs in 35 years”. His 13 year professional career included 35 NHL games with San Jose and Calgary; the AHL, Germany, Italy and England. He lives in Holden with his wife Gia and sons Hudson, Max and Logan who will join his dad on the team.
